Finalists in inaugural legal awards
Solicitors Title are delighted to have been shortlisted for Law Firm of the Year (1-10 partners) in the Devon and Somerset Legal Awards.
These awards, first of their kind in the region, are seen as an opportunity to recognise the contribution made by lawyers and solicitors in the West Country. At the DASLS Legal Awards Preview Event, DASLS president, Will Michelmore said: “Solicitors have had to rise to significant challenges in recent times. Solicitors are a resilient profession and from change has come opportunity. There are many who have risen to the challenge and it is those firms and individuals that the Devon and Somerset Law Society Legal Awards will celebrate.”
The Judging Panel looked at the firm’s commitment to law as a business, effective management, training and first class client care, alongside the other finalists for the award.
Janet Milton, head of Property at Solicitors Title, explained: “We provide the personal service expected of a small firm, combined with the technical ability usually associated with much larger firms; our growth plans mean that we genuinely have to be committed to things that matter to our clients; effective management of our own business is surely one of these.”
Richard James, who heads the firm’s Yeovil office, added: “With offices in Exeter and Yeovil, we have the ideal geographical location to be considered a truly local Devon and Somerset firm, albeit that many of our clients, particularly within our more niche specialisms of noise, motorsport and franchising, are outside of the region.”
In 2014, Solicitors Title won the Western Gazette Best Business Website Award for their website/online presence; this month they will be relaunching their website to ensure their online presence is as up to date as it can be.
The inaugural Awards Dinner will be held on Thursday 3rd March 2016 at Sandy Park, Exeter, where Solicitors Title and other finalists will find out the winners in each of the 12 categories and celebrate with other successful finalists no matter what the outcome.
